Welcome to Wallingford Town Hall, the newest of our venues and one which we believe will really be an excellent addition to our Oxfordshire venues. Wallingford is a delightful historic market town midway between Reading and Oxford with the river Thames weaving through it. The picturesque Wallingford Town Hall overlooks the market square in the commercial centre of the town, with busses stopping just outside and a delightful range of shopping facilities surrounding the square.
This historic Grade 1 listed building built in 1670 has a 1st floor hall with a wide external staircase leading up to it. We will be using the Main market hall as well as the smaller committee room on the first floor. There will also be room in the undercroft for several external stalls. There is NO lift in this Grade 1 listed building so this hall will not be suitable for those with mobility issues although there is a stair lift installed. There is always plenty going on in the town of Wallingford and the historic town is often used in Midsommer Murder series which brings a good number of tourists into the town
